As we approach the Jubilee long weekend I hope everyone is looking forward to joining in the celebrations happening across our communities.
From Jubilee lunches, garden parties, fetes and street parties, there are countless events taking place. Of course behind each of these events is an army of volunteers and organisers who have put in countless hours to make these events a success. I wish to thank each and every one for their efforts, and look forward to saying thank you in person to those I see over the weekend.
The Platinum Jubilee is a remarkable event. Our Queen is the very embodiment of public service and duty. 70 years unrivalled commitment and dedication to our country and to serving others is an inspiration to us all.
