Many people are concerned over Coronavirus and the support available for individuals, businesses and especially the vulnerable people within our communities.
I have been working with our councils, charities, & emergency services regarding the local response to Coronavirus to support them in ensuring that everyone, especially the vulnerable is protected. They are all doing an absolutely amazing job, especially our frontline staff in our emergency services, and they all need all our support.
People have also contacted me about the implications for them or their loved ones and I am raising issues for people living in Runnymede and Weybridge directly with the Government where further information or advice is needed. The national response is a rapidly moving situation and there is a huge amount of activity at all levels of government. Everyone is working incredibly hard across the board.
I will continue to engage at all levels to support residents and businesses, and will put out announcements shortly regarding how you can help locally by volunteering and how to get in contact if you need help. Regular updates, including links to information and advice, will also be published here (link to webpage).
We are all in this together and must fight this together in all our communities and as a nation. We need to support our key workers on the front line, but everyone’s role is key to fight Coronavirus.
