Great to drop into Holme Farm in Woodham last week and catch up on the unbelievable transformation Ronnie and Christine Kendall and their super-dedicated team have already achieved. I was absolutely blown away by the progress they have made and can’t wait to see how much further they’ve got next time I visit.
It was also good to meet the team from Surrey Choices who have been volunteering to do some of the gritty hard work of clearing the site. The following day the ‘Planting Seeds, Growing Communities’ inaugural launch took place at Clifton Nurseries and I had the chance to pop in and see the team spread the word of the project directly to residents. There is still some work to be done on full access to the site for the team and I will be taking this up with DEFRA on the team’s behalf to help them realise their full ambitions for this amazing and innovative community project.
