I have had the pleasure of visiting more of our schools over the past two weeks, including Pyrcroft Grange in Chertsey, and hearing from students over zoom who took part in the ‘Debate Mate’ event at St Pauls School, Addlestone, where children from primary schools across Runnymede tested their debating skills. I am incredibly impressed by how confident and articulate our local students are, and I had fun responding to their challenging questions! I was pleased to give some hints and tips to the children debating on how to craft their future speeches.
It has also been a pleasure to respond to the many letters I have received throughout the year from school children. I appreciate every one who takes the time to write and share their views and concerns about our planet and priorities for the country and local communities.
