This week marks Apprenticeship Week (3-9 February) and I attended the British Retail Consortium’s National Apprenticeship Week’s reception in Parliament. I met with inspirational employers and apprentices highlighting the fantastic opportunities quality apprenticeship programmes can bring.
I was pleased to learn about schemes such as the McDonalds Apprenticeship Scheme. This gives young people the opportunity to learn first-hand about their chosen industry while earning and having the chance to gain nationally recognised qualifications.
Education is one of the greatest opportunities we can give, and it is important that young people have access to a wide range of education and training to suit them.
I am proud to support Apprenticeship Week and am thankful to the thousands of employers who provide such opportunities within our communities. #ApprenticeshipWeek #Opportunityforall
