It will be no surprise to many that with further flood warnings I have been contacted by many residents concerned over the lack of progress in building the River Thames Scheme. This is a clear priority for the constituency.
I today raised the urgency of building our flood defences with the Secretary of State, who highlighted the Environment Agency are due to shortly publish a new flood risk scheme.
I will be meeting with the Environment Agency and working with colleagues to ensure building the River Thames Scheme is and remains a priority.
