It was an absolute delight to visit The Grange Community Infant School yesterday and not only meet the winner of my Christmas Card competition, but see the amazing creativity and talent of the whole school.
From the first class dance group performance of Twinkle and Shine and the year 2 singing, to the fantastic cards and home made decorations around the hall, it was an absolute pleasure to be part of their Christmas assembly. I also got to hear of the amazing work the staff and students have been doing throughout the year, not only supporting each other but also fundraising for those less fortunate.
And of course it was a special delight to meet Celine, the 6 year old winner of my Christmas card competition, and present her with her winner’s certificate. I was also able to share a picture of the Prime Minister with her original design and confirm how impressed he was!
Visiting our schools is the best part of being your MP and it makes me so proud to be able to represent schools like the Grange who not only deliver education but inspiration and joy. Thank you to every school, teacher, member of staff, students and everyone who supports them for your tireless work in these uncertain times. I hope you all enjoy a fantastic and well deserved break this Christmas.
