Christmas is just around the corner and this year I am pleased to launch my second competition for primary school-aged children in Runnymede and Weybridge to design my official Christmas card! Last year we had so many fantastic entries and it was almost impossible to decide which were the top few! I was blown away – but not surprised – at the wonderful creativity of our children within the Runnymede and Weybridge constituency, and I am sure this year’s chance to showcase their skills will be no different.
The competition is open to all children up to the age of 11, with the winning card being sent out to other MPs (including the Prime Minister!) and lots of people across the Runnymede and Weybridge constituency. The winner’s design will be featured on the front of the card and three runners-up will be featured on the back, with everyone entering receiving a certificate to thank them for taking part. Winners and runners-up will have their name and school printed on the card and in associated media.
There are no criteria for the design – it might be about Runnymede or Weybridge at Christmas, parliament, or something completely different. Please do avoid using glitter though, as it doesn't come out well at the printers!
The form on which to design the card is attached below. Entries must include a clear name and contact details, and can be posted to me individually by parents or all together from the school, to the address below:
Dr Ben Spencer MP
House of Commons

Alternatively a clear digital photograph can be emailed to [email protected] with the subject heading 'Christmas Card competition entry'. All entries must have the child's name, age and school clearly noted.
The deadline for entry is Monday 14 November to allow for printing, so please do send your design as soon as possible.
